THE DIGG MINISTRIES
I am a guy who decided after 30 years of following Christ that I knew very little in terms of the extent of Christ atonement, The nature and character of God and the real work and person of the Holy Spirit. I had a relationship with God through Christ but mostly church related. I needed to know more about who God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit were because I wanted to live with the full expression of Them in my life. I realized that I was in a system of Christianity which led me to a place of frustration in my journey. What I wanted was to know God more than I talked about God. I was spiritually raised in a traditional system that helped me be good at doing church but not necessarily knowing God. Don't get me wrong, I am a grateful for that system it taught me a lot including what I didn't want. I planted two churches in ten years and what I found out is that I am not a lead pastor. What I am is a teacher, I want to teach the bible in these four areas, Apologetics, Soteriology, Biblical worldview and Christian Values. I believe that faith is first but that God also equipped us with the intellectual abilities to share the bibles rich truth with opponents, skeptics, atheist, wonderer's and people on the fringe. I wanted to help answer the questions that our world has without just giving people the "God is good" spiel, Christians know that but unbeliever's don't understand this church jargon. There are unbelievers and many believers who don't have answers to their very real question and in the environments I came up in we couldn't answer them. We had great church services but real hard answers were missing. For example, how do we answer the alternative lifestyle community? How do we answer the new age community, how do we answer why there are so many different religions? How do we answer how we know Christianity is true? Honestly, the churches' I came up in couldn't do this. So, this is my mission, to teach and talk about tough issues in the body and hopefully bring insight to receptive hearts and minds seeking the truth. There is a group of people who want answers along with their experiences, they've had great experiences but cannot give you any church history, the basic tenants of our faith, why Jesus came to die, etc. We don't need to be Theologians, but we should be Berean's Acts 17:11. So, this is me, just a man looking to build the body of Christ and to provoke the unbeliever to consider the ramifications of rejecting God's offer of salvation. Lastly, I believe this journey is just that, a journey, we grow, listen and learn with insight and revelation along the way. My foundational scripture for life and from which I aim to teach from is 1 Peter 3:15 "But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect."
My personal statement to those who choose to journey with me Galatians 6:14 "May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world."
